Forum sack Melaye’s brother as chair

The members of the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASSLAF) at the weekend sacked the younger brother of Senator Dino Melaye, Sam Melaye, as their chairman.

Rising from a congress, members of the forum alleged that Melaye was forced on them by the management of the National Assembly.

A communiqué signed by Lawson Oviasogie, at the end of a congress attended by 250 members, announced the constitution of an electoral committee that would oversee the  emergence of new executives.

“If Sam Melaye is aspiring to become the chairman of ‎the Legislative Aides Forum, he should follow normal procedure by contesting election and not through the back door, “ the communiqué added.
